I just had an exposure for derealization

(it was incredibly difficult) I followed two of the steps you mentioned above (belly breathing and being focused on the task) OMG!!! It worked beautifully. It lasted for 15 min and that was it. Gone!

I wanted to express and share my happiness to everyone and myself; but I stayed in the middle (no whites, no blacks, just grays) not too sweet not too sour. I think it is a way of self compassion since it might happen again and I have to stay balanced, is it ok, when doing exposures?

🙏🏻🌸

Great job Barbara! But its totally OK to allow yourself to express some joy. It's good for your soul. Just don't declare yourself recovered overnight and you'll be fine. :-)

Great encouragement although I will admit in the beginning for me this was so hard. It gets easier when you start getting comfortable with the anxiety sensations thoughts and fears. Love you Big Guy
