Drew you are always spot on. No one likes to feel uncomfortable at least I don’t. However, I know the only way towards recovery is through so I continue forward uncomfortable or not. I am getting better at being present while anxiety lingers. Focusing, and engaging in what I’m doing instead of how I’m feeling. I keep telling myself, “Renay if you got yourself here, you can get yourself out”. It’s the motivation I need. Also tune everyone else out in your life who thinks they know what you need. You know yourself better than anyone else. Listen, be kind, be gentle, be loving and be firm. Love you Big Guy.
Drew, can you make the same exposure where everything went well ( allowing sensations, panic, shyness…) then, another time, doing exactly the same thing, but you have a terrible exposure ( bad exposure for me would be biting myself up afterwards for example) can motivation fades away? 🙈 it happens so often…
Thanks for this. In the anxious moments, I sometimes forget that I can feel through those moments instead of push them away or wish they were not there. I do have to remind myself that, that is where the learning is and that is where the progress is. Sometimes, outside of those anxious moments, I can even think of them as fun challenges that will help me grow.
Whew 😅 I’m glad I’m in the top 3.. progress is progress no matter how big or small the steps are, in the beginning I was the 4th not exposure we all start off that way hoping for a quick fix lol until we realize that never works everything takes time and we need to allow ourselves that to recover no matter how long it takes recovery happens when we learn to accept everything for what it is and keep doing life. Thanks drew I’m truly glad I found you 💖

This is amazing thanks so much. Randomly interrupted avoidance. So true. X

Quite possibly the best episode yet!! So succinct and easy to interpret. Thank you.
