Super helpful for understanding and context (& confusing acronyms!), am def. keen to hear more episodes on this emerging subject and the widening menu of therapy models available to us all.

This episode is so appropriate to me as I am juggling old school cbt with Drew’s advice. I welcome any of your super smart friends for their advice on combining different therapies.

Totally agree with the augmented process of thought treatment. I guess they key point here is to use Thought challeging when calm, and not debating the thoughts when agitated/anxious. Correct?

Hi Drew. Great episode. I wanted to add ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) to the list of therapy models under the CBT umbrella. Happy to come on anytime if I’m one of your super smart therapists:)

Thanks Drew. I would like to hear some of your super smart therapists as long as they talk my language.

I have no idea what my Therapist practises. I never fill out worksheets, we sit we talk and he frames what I am telling him. He seems to be able to spot and contextualise my busy mind. Then i'm like "oh right yes... that makes sense". I am just grateful to be supported during my recovery with therapy, and to have a therapist i click with, which i feel is super important. Thanks Drew for everything you do for us too. Love Nikki SA

I’m coming to an end of 12 weeks of so called therapy , and tbh , it’s been no good. 12 weeks of confirming to me I’ve had a rough 2 years . 12 weeks of my therapist basically saying I need to give myself time , 12 weeks of almost empathy rather than therapy . Didn’t dare quit as it’s taken 2 years to get therapy here in Uk. I had cbt years ago, and that wasn’t helpful then , as it was all about having negative thoughts , then changing them for positive thoughts . If only it was that simple . I have however purchased a book called the happiness trap , and so far , along with these podcasts , I feel together they are teaching me more about my mind and how I’ve become a prisoner to my own thought processes , and rather than trying to change them , accept them , but bare them no weight
