Another news letter I enjoy receiving everyday from you, being present in the moment while allowing is a little difficult but it’s doable. When I get those oh no if you don’t do this or that you’re falling for a setback 😂 then I’ll think wait no I just don’t want to do this or that and when I need to do something I’ll do it like I’ve done it millions of times before but this time I’ll allow myself to feel uncomfortable and keep doing what needs to be done .
Drew your straight forward no nonsense attitude makes me laugh with the words you choose. You have definitely been the kick in the pants I needed to move through this anxiety journey. Thank you Love you Big Guy
"you are not sure if you are supposed to shit or wind your watch" - is this some common expression in English or you just came up with it by yourself? Because it is hilarious 😂 anyway I have some trouble with grasping the difference between paying attention, being present - which is OK, and distracting yourself - which is (as I learned lately) a way to mentally avoid and run away from fearful thoughts, which is bad because you teach your brain that this thoughts are dangerous and you have to avoid them by distracting yourself. Can you help me with that?
125. WTF Does "Be Present" Even Mean To An Anxious Mind?
Very interesting perspective and framing.
