Loved this thank you Drew! Can I ask- does anyone know- why do we get existential anxiety and focus on it so much if being human is obviously natural- surely this isn’t something any of us should be thinking about or dwelling with. I’m just struggling with how it is just anxiety and nothing more serious. I could be relaxing watching something funny on tv and next I’m having these silly thoughts about who I am and why have I arms and legs and so I goes on! 🤯🤯 it’s doing my head in- literally lol! Any comment I would appreciate. I need to know this is “normal” 😅😅
I must say, this is my favorite Anxious Morning to date. Why? Because instead of feeling overwhelmed, like I thought I might when I saw 4 questions, I was instead relieved at the simplicity and logic of the response to them. Guess you could call it simple logic. Most of us have minds that are already complicated, that need untangling. This message today accomplished that for me and hopefully others.
"Focus on learning how to get better at being anxious whenever that pops up." Never mind the situation.
Yes!!!!!
Love today's powerful and liberating message! Thank you!
Same for me! I was like here we go let me really pay attention but in the end it’s so simple yet my brain over complicated it and I braced myself instantly thinking can I execute this 🤦🏻♀️. I have been slowly getting better and I am absolutely grateful that I found this community because we don’t focus on the various scary symptoms we focus on gaining confidence, trust in our ability and moving forward ❤️.
So helpful, thank you.My biggest issue is the highway driving which I used to do all the time. Trying to reframe that it is anxiety that can happen anywhere, not just related to this instance.
Thanks, Drew! This is a really important thing to remember! It's also comforting. In the beginning, I kept thinking I would have to go back to EVERY place I had ever felt panic, in order to get better. Generalizing was very confusing to me.
Would you please talk about downward generalization for us? I am just starting to learn about it and would love to hear more.
Absolutely!
God, you changed all the perspective, doesn’t have to be so hard !
Thank you, blessings Drew ✨🙏🏻❤️
