I don’t want this to end..your words always have such an impact on me. However, I need it to. I’ve read your books, I watch your YouTube videos, I follow your IG and TikTok. What more can I learn? It’s time to do! slowly I have been doing the things. Staying home sad and frustrated and scared isn’t worth it for me anymore. I’d rather be out while feeling scared..and when I come home I know that I did it and I can keep doing it until the fear isn’t as intense. Nothing lasts forever even anxiety.

I think we can all relate to this! A year ago I never thought I would get through the anxiety storm but I did! It wasn’t easy and I’m still growing and learning but much more at peace. Anxiety teaches us so much about ourselves if we allow it too! Thank you so much Drew. As always Love you Big Guy 😊

No anxiety is special or different but for some, anxiety can be enduring, intense, lasting for 20, 30 or 40 years or even more! And they don't comment in your group because they feel they are a failure. They have tried it all...and nothing has worked. So when they read 'recovery stories', though they feel happy for such 'recoverees', they feel an overwhelming sense of despondency, inadequacy and sadness.

Drew fans often recover (only fans for anxiety sufferers!) But do they really? Who knows but what I do know is one size does not fit all and those who struggle for a long time should not be dismissed as I think they are sometimes with complex answers in your group. Let's give a thought to the ones who haven't recovered yet. They matter too.

Great post Drew! I do think that you underestimate your part in the recovery process for people in this community. Your straight forward delivery of surrender is powerful. I know recovery is possible because I have experienced it for extended periods. Some poorly handled life challenges have given me the opportunity to practice surrendering again, but your books and podcasts have provided critical guidance. Don’t be afraid to take some credit for all your effort. You deserve it. Thanks for all you do.

This one made me cry! Every word resonated with me. Thanks, Drew.

I'm not on Facebook. I am hopeful that you stay present somewhere else once this is over, that is still accessible to people like me? Is that a possibility? Your posts have helped me in such a profound way, as I navigate my very long recovery. I will miss this morning time with your words. They are one of the key ingredients in my "recipe for recovery". Could you please drop a line and let us all know? Thank you!

Wholeheartedly agree Rachel, I too am not on FB (for other reasons, it was a conscious decision) & when I listen to brilliant, uplifting episodes like this I wrestle with the thought that am I missing out on something key, which could further help my recovery, by not being on FB or accessing Drew’s page & the associated content/chat (eg. I could re-join by setting up a new, separate profile, not linked to my old one linked to all my friends/family) & despite having read all Drew’s books etc. I’m still unsure, the jury’s still out & I’m very reluctant to go back on FB. Like you it’s exactly why I’ve so very much enjoyed The Anxious Morning posts via old-fashioned email! I’m not a huge crier but I think I actually might shed a tear when I listen to Drew’s final episode later this month😁🥲

Hi Renee, Thank you for your kind comment and your many likes to my comments this year!

I also chose to leave FB. I won't go back though, for anything. I read both of Drew's books as well. I am hoping that he comes up with something for us outliers! :)

Wishing you a peaceful holiday and much happiness in 2023. Here's hoping that all of us continue on our journeys with success, patience, strength and lots of happier days!
