I was doing this today and had a useful insight: it is OKAY that I am thinking! I don't have to be hard on myself about it, overanalyze it, or fix it. It's good that this is what brains do - it's what they were evolved to do. Sounds obvious, but in the midst of anxiety, one can easily be wary of thinking.
