Needed to read this. I’ve been practising that “giving in” feeling a lot while driving on the freeway and it’s hard so I’ve been harder on myself when I slow down with progress. This is a good reminder to keep going and shift the way I’m perceiving the struggle

Another valuable insight and practical steps in how to turn negative beating up on oneself into proactive leaning & improvement for the next time. So important to learn to forego the harsh internal rhetoric which often automatically kicks in after an exercise/exposure goes badly, and which can become emotionally toxic and self-defeating (sometimes ruining the next few hours and days!) and replace with supportive, non-emotive and objective self messaging - thanks again Drew.
